Born in Nuremberg on February 27, 1910, the son of a school teacher, well-known German actor Wolfgang Preiss started studying philosophy and theatre sciences alternately (including dance training) and made his stage debut in 1932 in Munich. He appeared in many theatres throughout his country in the 30s including Heidelberg, Bonn, Bremen, Stuttgart, Baden-Baden and Berlin.
Beginning in a couple of early 1940s German films, WWII interrupted Preiss' movie output for quite some time, but, in many ways, the war never left him, for he would continue playing war-time colonels, generals, and field marshals for the duration of his prolific career.
Following more theatre and radio work, Preiss returned to post-war German filming and was seldom seen out of uniform with a mass of pictures including Deadly Decision (1954), The Plot to Assassinate Hitler (1955) (starring role), Der Cornet - Die Weise von Liebe und Tod (1955), Anastasia: The Czar's Last Daughter (1956), Stresemann (1957), Haie und kleine Fische (1957) and I Was All His (1958). His diabolical tendencies also lent to his casting as the title criminal mastermind in a series of mystery films: The 1,000 Eyes of Dr. Mabuse (1960), The Return of Dr. Mabuse (1961), The Invisible Dr. Mabuse (1962), The Terror of Doctor Mabuse (1962) and Dr. Mabuse vs. Scotland Yard (1963).
Preiss continued to keep his Nazi uniform starched and pressed as he branched out internationally for such 1960's war films as The Counterfeit Traitor (1962), The Longest Day (1962), The Cardinal (1963), The Train (1964), Von Ryan's Express (1965), Is Paris Burning? (1966), Anzio (1968) and Battle of the Commandos (1969). As the nemesis of such American heroes as William Holden, Burt Lancaster, Frank Sinatra, Robert Mitchum and Peter Falk, he moved into the next decade with portrayals of Rommel in Raid on Rommel (1971) starring Richard Burton and Field Marshal Von Rundstedt in Richard Attenborough's A Bridge Too Far (1977) which featured an international star cast.
Preiss would appear in over 100 German and continental productions in his lifetime. Other popular filming would include featured roles in The Salzburg Connection (1972), The Boys from Brazil (1978), Bloodline (1979) and The Formula (1980). In his twilight years, Preiss turned more and more to TV as part of the ensemble casts of the quality miniseries Wallenstein (1978), The Winds of War (1983) and War and Remembrance (1988). He ended his career with a role in the French adventure movie drama Aire libre (1996).
Preiss died on November 27, 2002, at the age of 92, as the result of a fall. Married three times, he was survived by his third wife, Ruth, whom he married in 1955.- Director

He attended a school in Furth which was the only Jewish school allowed to operate in the region. Henry Kissinger's father taught Biology at the school and Henry was in the year above Heinz at school. Following a parliamentary question directed at the Home secretary by the MP Josiah Wedgewood, Heinz and his mother were granted transit visas to pass through England and join his uncles who had migrated to the USA. At the age of 15, Heinz Bernard was sent to England by his mother who meant to join him a few days later. On the day she planned to leave Germany, war broke out trapping her on the continent. She caught the last Orient Express to Vladivostok a few days later and eventually reached the USA. Heinz remained trapped in England and learned English by sitting in cinemas watching movies. He eventually joined a home for Jewish orphans run by exiles from the German communist party where he organized weekly plays. Heinz worked a variety of low paid jobs, including as a rabbit skinner and a waiter saving enough money to attend the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA) in London. After the war Heinz's mother informed him that he was adopted. A real brother and sister had reached Palestine before the war and now made contact with him. Heinz went on the run a legendary Communist Party affiliated theater in London (Unity Theater) and staged the first productions of Brecht in the English language. Heinz left the Communist Party in the fifties after anti-Semitic plotting by Stalin and the invasion of Hungary. Following the death of his Israeli brother in the sixties, Heinz decided to emigrate to Israel. He acted the part of the Rabbi in the West End production of Fiddler on the Roof to raise money for the move. In Israel he became a legend on account of his performances in English teaching television programs, "Neighbours" (written by his wife Nettie) and "Here We Are", broadcast four times a week on the single national TV channel for over fifteen years. After ten years in Israel Heinz returned to England where he had to restart his career. He continued to work until his death of a rare blood disease in 1995.
Heinz's name at birth was Heinz Messinger. His adopted family were called Lowenstein. After leaving RADA he worked under the professional name Harry Bernard, eventually dropping the Harry and becoming simply Heinz Bernard. - Production Designer

"I love what I do! Every day, I get the unique opportunity to inspire people with stories to be told and other people's lives that must be brought into theaters! I love that! And I love to be a dreamer. I had my dreams all right. And that is something no one can ever take away. They cost nothing, and they can be as real as you like to make them. You own your dreams and they are priceless. I've been a journalist in the past, a firefighter, a doctor, and maybe I'll be seen soon as a superhero, or the next bad guy in a big franchise, all for real. That's the stuff my dreams are made of."
Dan Martin // 2014 Nuremberg International Human Rights Film Festival Won, Audience Award, Best Supporting Actor
Since his debut in 2006, Dan Martin has gone on to give memorable performances in a pretty impressive list of well-known action-packed films and series including the 2010 Golden Globe-nominated film "Red" starring Golden Globe Winner Bruce Willis ("Die Hard") and Oscar Award winner Helen Mirren ("The Queen"), CBS's two-time Primetime Emmy Award-winning series "CSI: Miami" and the Primetime Emmy nominated crime series "NCIS: Los Angeles" starring Golden Globe nominee Chris O'Donnell ("Batman & Robin"), "Law & Order: LA" and Germany's long-running cop drama "Tatort", which has earned over 96 awards including seven Bambi Awards and six Adolf Grimme Awards, one of the most prestigious awards presented in German television.
After a long break in which he fully concentrated on his sporting career as a CrossFit professional (which earned him the nickname "The Titan"), he returned to the Hollywood Circus in 2023 and was nominated for the role of Northman "Björn" in the highly-anticipated Viking Storm film "PICT'S SWORD" together with his well-known colleague Mads Mikkelsen as "King Harald Fairhair" and Conan Stevens as "Erik Blood Axe" directed by Rick McLeod. It is based on the novel "Pict's Sword" by Maiia Gesner.
As a child he discovered his love of books, reading, and stories, devouring the works of C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, James Branch Cabell, Edgar Allan Poe, Michael Moorcock, Ursula K. LeGuin, Gene Wolfe, and G.K. Chesterton.
Dan is an engaging fiction author determined to follow in the footsteps of C.S. Lewis as a master of various genres, writing with the heart of a vivacious Imaginer dedicated to entertaining and putting forth the light of the world based on his faith and visions. The world is not black and white and Varick doesn't see a reason his fictional worlds must be written as such, so he writes multicultural, interracial stories with suspense, love, science fiction, and action. He writes a range of genres including poetry, mystery, suspense romance, science fiction, and adventure stories.
He is currently writing an Action Thriller of Biblical Fiction that shows the Thrill of an Apocalyptic Battle between Go(o)d and (D)evil (including film script) called "Satanic Verses".- Actress

They have three children.
- His father, Hanns Porst, founded Photo Haus Porst in Nuremberg in 1919, to which a mail order company was added in 1925. After completing elementary school, he completed an apprenticeship as a toolmaker at Kodak. With the opening of branches in 1929, Photo Porst became the largest photo shop in Germany with 200 employees. At the same time, Hanns Porst was committed to photography courses that were used by beginners and professionals. To do this, he founded the in-house magazine "Fotohelfer". In 1931 the company organized the first customer photo trip, in which 1,300 customers already took part.
In the same year he introduced branded cameras as affordable private labels under the name "HAPO", the abbreviation of his name. After the end of the Second World War and the years of the economic miracle, in which the company boomed again, Hanns Porst handed over management to his son Hannsheinz Porst. The companies Neckermann and Foto-Quelle developed into major competitors. In return, Porst built up a chain of stores and franchise partners. In addition, Porst built a printing press and 500 company apartments outside Nuremberg. The printing company "Maul & Co" produced gravure, offset and letterpress printing.
In 1964, Porst was imprisoned for three weeks on charges of tax evasion. On suspicion of having traitorous ties to the GDR Ministry for State Security (Stasi), Porst was imprisoned again on October 26, 1967. He was only released on bail at the end of December 1967. In 1969, Porst was sentenced to two years and a few months in prison. He began his sentence and was released early from prison in 1970. In 1969, PHOTO PORST celebrated its 50th anniversary. At the same time, the product range was expanded to include items such as radios, record players and tape recorders.
He also founded, among others, Exdata (data processing), DSV (Deutscher Supplement Verlag; rtv) and PORST Wohnungsbau. In 1972, Porst founded an employee company. The Porst data processing company "Exdata" and the Porst foreign branches in Holland and France had to be sold in 1974, and the co-determination authority of the works meeting was given up in the process. The first customer cards were introduced in 1975. By 1978, the PORST company had 1,200 sales outlets in Germany. The company magazine appeared from 1978 as "PORST Photographing and Filming".
In 1979, Hannsheinz Porst retired from the company's management. After the employee company failed, Porst rejoined the company in 1982. A Swiss Interdiscount took over the majority of the capital in the same year. Hannsheinz Porst moved to the company's supervisory board and only left the company again at the end of the 1980s. POTHO PORST AG was founded in 1986 with 2,137 sales outlets. In 1996, the Belgian Spector Foto Group took over PORST AG, followed by other changing owners. By its 75th anniversary in 1994, PHOTO PORST had sales of around 1 billion DM and 2,500 employees, 200 of its own branches and 2,620 sales outlets.
PHOTO PORST AG filed for bankruptcy in 2002, whereupon Porst's central distribution was discontinued. In doing so, the company responded to a general sales change that was accompanied by the import of Asian products and domestic competition. The trademark rights to PORST were then acquired by the RINGFOTO Group, and the rights for the image business were transferred to KODAK. The branch structure was also dissolved. The remaining PORST stores remained as independent retailers within the RINGFOTO Group. Hannsheinz Porst had meanwhile retreated into his private life.
In his private life, Porst most recently lived in seclusion with his wife Luise in his father's former weekend house in Artelshofen near Vorra, east of Nuremberg. Here he dedicated himself to breeding highland cattle and growing fruit and vegetables on his farm. He was the father of four children.

- Retired second-generation German professional wrestler, trainer, promoter and businessman best known for his work for WCW from 1994 all the way to the bitter end in 2001. He trained under his father Steve Wright while still a teenager and debuted at the age of 16, as well as working in Japan. He signed a deal with WCW in 1994 while they were on tour in Germany. Over the course of his run, he was a 1x WCW World Cruiserweight Champion, a 1x WCW World Television Champion and a 1x WCW World Tag Team Champion with Disco Inferno (Glenn Gilbertti) as the Boogie Knights. He retired after WWE purchased WCW, later explaining that WWE could not have picked up his contract because he was still signed to AOL Time Warner at the time.
On Gator Country (1999) (April 19, 1999), he was shown in the crowd with a very different look. This was supposed to have led to his reintroduction as Berlyn, complete with promotional videos airing on WCW television. Due to the character's uncomfortable resemblance to Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, the teenagers who executed the Columbine massacre, the gimmick was delayed until September. This new gimmick came complete with a bodyguard named the Wall (Jerry Tuite), based off of the Berlin Wall and a female translator. The gimmick tanked and Wright was taken off of TV for close to a year, returning as himself on Chokeslam (2000). - Production Designer
